Cheerio Bob.
I can do them too, but I rather not have to deal with chucking the oil, plus it's not that much more pricey....Lube shops in the US are great.

The parking, we'll just have to disagree as I think you could park a bus in most spots in one go but people still can't manage a car over here.

I agree.

My Mrs is good at parking but allot of people just seem to point the car at the space and hope for the best.

Also when parking at meters they cant seem to decide which meeter they are supposed to be using.

But thats somethings I wouldn't miss.

I would miss: The house, My garden, the neighborhood I live in, it's a 'cop' neighborhood, very safe and very friendly.

Homely or homey? Serious question ... I keep reading "homely" as a description for accomodations in NZ. Am I just reading the wrong hotel descriptions or is it a typo as it would be here?

No, that is a Brit expression which means the same as our homey. Or at least that was what my DH said when he first set eyes on me......Unless........ Hmmmmm

I wondered as I felt like I'd read it too many times for it to be a mistake.
You're feeling silly this morning eh?

Raspberry tea
Proper hash browns
big house/space
countryside
Bruno
my cattle
my pigs
fast food variety
turning on a stop light (I've almost introduced it on several occasions since my return)
Howies pizza
sunshine
free refils are here to an extent but not on tea and coffee
fresh coffee
boxes of strawberries for $7
infact a damn sight more than I thought I would

awww sorry about all that thyd, not good times for sure but think of what you have gained...medical treatment which makes the above seem pretty insignificant.

hopefully you can all get back to Fl one of these days

Those are a couple more for me too....though I usually don't take advantage of the refills unless it's coffee as I try not to be that much of a fat bloater.

I'd also miss the really good local sweet corn, even though it was much cheaper up in Maine, it's still not to bad down here I suppose.

I'd also miss the abundance of yard sales, not that I bother go to many, any actually, but the number of them means there's some really funny posters out and about
