But surely 1967-1976 is foundational in terms of the core aesthetic of Western Civilisation?

.....well, that is a start. Eat the big squirrels, to help with the overweight bit.

Option 1) Total denial. Close the curtains, make some food from home, whip on the VPN and watch live tele from back home, reading local papers on the iPad, not dealing with what is bothering me locally.

Option 2) Total immersion. Getting out of the house, away from the things that bother me and exploring or doing something that I can ONLY due in my new location such that I don't think about the fact I'm not at 'home'.

Can generally fix this by listening to the radio. Round here they play a lot of 70s and 80s British bands, so seldom a day goes by without hearing Simple Minds, Spandau Ballet or Tears for Fears. There's another decent station with plenty of Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, the Stones etc.

The other day wandering around Home Depot they were playing The Proclaimers!

I was on anti-depressants a few years ago and didn't really want to do that again.

Thanks

I don't know whether you can buy SJW in Canadaland...if not you may be able to buy it on the internet. AFAIK SJW isn't something you would take to help you sleep.

I was very depressed after living here for a few months...but I couldn't bring myself to go to the doctor and I certainly didn't want to start taking prescription anti depressants. I mistakenly took 3 tabs x 3 times per day...instead of 1 tab x 3 times per day. I took 3 tabs one evening...when I woke up the next morning I felt so much better.

Edit: Just Googled and it looks like you should be able to buy it in Nova Scotia. Warning...if you are taking 'the pill' you should consult your doctor. There are warnings that SJW could affect it's effectiveness.
