It is tricky. Our son is going to Holland to study.

We have kept him on our US health plan even though it won't cover him at all once he is out of the USA. It wasn't possible for us to add/take him off at will.

There is an international student insurance you can get that has been recommended by the university https://www.aonstudentinsurance.com/students/en/

That won't help you if your daughter has "settled" in the UK. ....PF'S son is, IIRC, going as a student to a university in the Netherlands.

it's not just health insurance Pulaski.

It covers stuff like having to return home or having parents fly out to their student in case of hospitalisation. Legal insurance, travel insurance if your starting point is your place of study and it is very cheap.
