Default Greenwich

We are looking to purchase a house near Greenwich, as our daughter is looking to complete a automated design course there. We are not helicopter parents but due to her disability we need to accommodate her.

Any general "local" knowledge of places to watch out for?

Our younger daughter would be attending school from year 6 - any recommendations? - she is not academic, but full of beans ("non competitive" :Gymnastics, Swimming, Hockey) prefers mixed schools.

Price expectations for a 4 bed house with reasonable garden for them to run around with a medium sized dog?. We won't be buying with a mortgage, but would like to know of relevant process and costs in buying.

My prior London living was Essex, Finchley, Croydon. Years ago we looked at Blackheath, but that was at starter rung on ladder (one bed flats), so any assistance on better streets/sub areas would be greatly appreciated.

Greenwich and Blackheath are both very nice but they are expensive property-wise. I don't know what your budget is but for that kind of property you'd be looking to pay £1 to £2 million.

Not sure you would be even able to spend more than £3 million

For £2 million plus you'd have your pick of some very beautiful detached Georgian townhouses or your own piece of Vanbrugh Castle. Have a look at Rightmove.

I have some old friends who live in Vanbrugh Fields. I usually stay with them when I visit London. It is a nice quiet area with big family homes, as you require. I don't know about the schools. On current prices, 1.5 million should be sufficient.
