GF's Tier5 YMV
Hey guys,
Just a quickie before we go wading through the .gov.uk site to find a number to call
My GF just got her Canadian passport back from New York with her approved Tier 5 YMV
When you apply, it asks you for an expected date of arrival...at the time we didn't really have one so just put 18th June 2016.
Now that the visa has come through, it says that you have 30 days to activate it from 18th June - 18th July...and that if you come after that, you'll have to re-apply and pay another fee
Since then we've gotten concrete travel plans and will be arriving on June 11th, which is a week before that 30 days begins.
Will this cause any trouble? Will she have to enter as a visitor then and 'flagpole' between the dates?
Kind of a PITA that it asks for an 'estimated' arrival date, then makes something like that concrete...

Re: GF's Tier5 YMV
Thanks for the reply BIP
Quite ludicrous that they would ask you to guess, then hold you to that date...
Suppose that's a day trip to Dublin on the cards then!
Or is RoI in this common travel area to which you refer?
