Hi, I filed in the US this year directly on the IRS website; cost me nothing! Accepted in 4 days and refund in 10 days!

I am moving to UK beginning 2018 and if I need to file will do it the same way.

Ask a lawyer or a tax advisor in the country you are working in now to avoid troubles, although I believe the tax is just a theft like any right wing thinker but that what the situation is right now, thanks God FATCA is not applying YET here

Thanks for the replies and advise. I think I will try the IRS website or one of the other online options, that doesnt cost me anything, as i dont think i will get much back.

May I ask a simple question along the lines of this thread? When one has moved back home but is entitled to US Social Security, is it a requirement to file a US Tax Return?

Only if you have a US citizenship or a valid current visa or any work going in US or you own any property there, where in all these conditions, you are required from the US government to pay taxes
