Cost of living in UK

Cost of living in UK
Could someone give me an idea of how much basic things cost in UK, like food, utilities, council tax, etc. (I won't do a TV license because i don't watch tv so leave that out) per month? Car insurance? (for a young male driver....)
And rent - i'd be looking for as decent as i can get, you know, not a complete dump LOL. I'd rather pay more for a nicely done 1 bedroom than a crap 3 bedroom.
I won't be looking in London as thats too expensive. I'd be open to literally anywhere else in England. But london area is too expensive.
Thanks.

Gozit although you are open to anywhere else in the UK, a good start is focusing on a few areas to research on. I am in a similar position because it all depends on where I land a job but I will be concentrating on the SW and SE region. I know I do not want to be in the city but in a surrounding village - from there it is easier to get a gist of affordability. The further north you go the more affordable it becomes usually but there are some exceptions.
Good luck!

You can play around putting your details into sites for some of them:
Housing:
UK's number one property website for properties for sale and to rent
Car insurance:
https://mygocompare.gocompare.com/Se...aspx?product=1
Council tax - look up the council of the area you are interested in.
Food:
Groceries

Does the food budget include savoury flavours of crisps?
