Default Cheapest shipping Aus to UK

We are planning the move and are on a very (think insanely) tight budget but would like to ship as much as possible back. Anyone got any ideas or anyone done it recently and able to give some price estimates. We are in Perth.

Firstly take a look at what you actually want/need to bring back, then think if what you are bringing home will "fit" into your lifestyle here when that is done you can then get quotes, I had 3 quotes from shipping companies, we choose "Chess" the middle quote as they were a bit more helpful with info etc. Ask if you can pack the smaller items yourself (will be cheaper but I don't think will be covered by insurance.....which in our experience is not really work the cost but we still always insure lol) also ask if anyone (depending on the amount your brining to the UK) is available to "share" a container, might take a bit longer to arrive but worth the saving. We found most items to be cheaper here in the UK than Perth and in hindsight I would of brought less of our larger items but at the time most of our "white goods" were fairly new. All the best

28 tea chest sized boxes, air freight, PER-MAN, just under AU$4,000 (including pickup, delivery, some packing of fragile items, and all paperwork)

Sorry I didn't just chuck it all into a sea container, the mob we used were useless, stuff they packed was smashed while boxes we packed were fine.

Be wary of TNT at this (UK) end - they tried to deliver to 3 wrong addresses before they got it right, which meant our boxes had been thrown on and off 4 trucks. I almost cried at the state of them when they finally arrived, every one crushed, packing peanuts falling out etc etc. And the bastards are still chasing us for nearly 700 pounds of customs duty, when everything we shipped was exempt!

Just accepted a quote from Grace who were cheapest. We are taking as little as possible. A bit of furniture and 17 boxes. About 11 cu m by my estimate. Can't comment on service yet of course. Won't be taking out insurance, so that's a saving.

We moved back with a 20foot container. We chose Grace who were the cheapest and came in at $8,000.

Didn't like the service at the UK end, they partner with Doree Bonner and the unpacking was done with very little care by what appeared to be a bunch of 12 year olds. I was not present for the outward pack. Nothing actually went wrong though.
