California to London: Full service Shippers or Customs agent?

California to London: Full service Shippers or Customs agent?
Can anyone recommend a shipping company from Los Angeles, CA to London, UK?
We don't have too much stuff at this point (might be a lot more in a year's time). Perhaps a couple of pieces of furniture and the usual clothes and household items for a family of 4 for a year.
Or:
Can anyone recommend a UK customs agent we could use.
Some of the companies I have been getting (very provisional) quotes from are offering, 'door to port' but we would like someone who knows what they are doing to clear our stuff through customs and get it to us in the UK.
