Might seem a silly question, but have you switched the location in the set up menu to UK?

Most modern TVs now have an option allowing you to choose your country but if it doesnt you should be able to download an upgrade as it is a Smart TV. Do a Google search and you should be able to find something or contact the manufacturer.

last resort is a Freeeview (or Freesat) tuner. Still far cheaper than buying a new TV.

Australia and the UK use different encoders/decoders for "over the air" HD broadcasting. Therefore you'll need a Freeview tuner that plugs into either the HDMI or Component connection on your TV to receive HD transmissions.
It appears that both Australia and the UK use DVT-B/MPEG-2 for SD transmissions so you might be able to use your built in tuner to receive SD transmissions.

Normally when someone says that a TV will work in another country, they are usually referring to use with a set top box since there are various means of transmissions and coders/decoders between countries.

Contact Panasonic support if they said it would, and find out what it can and can't do.
