Best UK cash machines
Hi folks
My wife is enjoying life in the UK and has been there for just on a month now. One small issue she's been trying to figure out is the best cash machines to use to withdraw cash from our savings account in Australia. Doesn't happen often, but looking for advice on what she's found so far.
There are no issues with daily withdrawal limits on our account back in Australia (allows AUD$3000 per day - just over £1700 per day) and has a small charge per withdrawal of about £1.
Our bank uses the MasterCard network (it's a MasterCard debit card). The best cash machine she's found so far is Bank of Ireland which allows for a £500 withdrawal in one transaction with no cash machine operator fee.
Have tried HSBC and Barclays. Both levied their own operator fees and only allowed £250 withdrawal.
Anyone have any advances on Bank of Ireland?
(Note: I know there are other ways to do what we're doing, but wife understands getting cash out of a wall and can manage her own personal security while carrying cash (or not carrying cash for that matter)).

All banks have a daily limit on withdrawals from ATMs. It looks like BoI have an agreement with your Oz bank re fees etc but Barclays/HSBC don't. The best thing is to ask your Oz bank which ATMs they suggest for fee free withdrawals.
