Just nipped in for a perv - I mean - casual glance to see who's where and doing what and found this new page!!
Well, here I am - back in the Uk. Been back just over 2 yrs now. Still no regrets about returning, after our 2 yrs in Melbourne, doubt we will have now. Of course we still have fond memories of certain things we did there - some great cafes, restaurants, walks etc but nothing is as good as being home. We settled quickly on our return, probobly because we came back to house prices being at their lowest so we snapped up a bargain and been here ever since!
I'm still working here in York but have also set up my own online retail business which is going great.
Life is absolutely fine, spring is here and summer's just around the corner.
Almost feels like our life in Oz never happened - we rarely think about it, and yet at the time it was so all consuming. Especially the whole trying to get back bit.
We were just meant to be back in the Uk I think. Glad we tried it tho.

How are you doing in York? Are you still working in CASH?
It sounds as though you are really settled back in the UK. I wish that I could say the same, but unfortunately just over 3 years on I am still not sure if moving back was the right decision. We have been to the Australian High Commission in London and got our Aussie passports. We may decide to go and travel around Oz for a few months, still contemplating that one.
Anyway it is nice to see that you still look in on Expats from time to time.

Good to hear that things are working out well for you and that you havent been touched by the curse of the expat. I do envy you living in York, it's one of my favourite places (that's what happens when you have your honey moon there I guess
