Would go down the sharing route. Shared a Villa in Umm Suqeim the first time i lived here. Ended up marrying a friend of one of my house mates.

Sharing definitely sounds more appealing atm. Not that I cook much but hoping to find clean and sane flatmates to stay with.
@ Inselaffen - How long did you stay in a shared apartment? Did you consider getting your own apartment initially? My only issue is getting my own privacy.
