Hi All,

I have received a job offer from a company based in Al Khobar. I am orignally from yorkshire and settled in Scotland via Sunderland. hopefully would be able to find someone from these areas, who is already in Khobar.

I was looking for some advice on schooling for my 5 year old.
I have read about BISAK and IGS. which one of these or any other school in the Khobar area have a higher standard? Do they have school league or performance tables in ME?

any help, advice or contribution to this thread would help my family and maybe others in the same situation.

I myself don't have kids but I have colleagues that do here in Khobar and often overhear their discussions about issues with schooling. The biggest issue you'll face is waiting lists. AFAIK, the best schools are already full for next year (Sep 2015 intake). I don't think there's much you can do about getting on a waiting list until you arrive here but contacting the schools via the web won't hurt.

Once here, be prepared to roam from school to school for interviews and placement tests with your little one.

Does anyone out there know if the international schools provide campound pickup/drop-off service for your kids?
