Saudi newbie
Hi everyone!
I'm new to these boards, and I'm also new to the idea of going to Saudi Arabia with my wife and two kids from 2016 onwards. So I'm probably gonna be asking all kinds of questions; please bear with me!
First of all, I gather that KSA isn't open to foreign tourists but I was wondering if there would be any way for family (mainly grandparents) to visit us and our children whilst residing in KSA?
Thanks!

"Family Visit Visa". Ask your company for advice on getting them. Be aware during Hajj they'll likely not be able to visit, or it's extremely hard to get one.

Thanks a lot for that. Just the sort of visa I was hoping they'd have!

Re: Saudi newbie
If you have a resident permit (IQAMA) you can invite family on a visit visa for three months. But if you are not planning on coming until 2016, it would be better to ask your questions closer to the time.

1. spouse
2. children
3. parents
If your wife has residence permit - she can also invite her parents - your in laws.
No grandparents nor siblings, nor any friends.
In the other hand - good wasta here can do everything.

A lot can change in 2 years, particularly with respect to middle east stability and security.

Re: Saudi newbie
Grandparents means my children's grandparents (my parents and in-laws).
Thanks for all your replies. It's reassuring to know that family visits can (currently) take place.
