Default Riyadh job offer

I am a uk based business analyst and currently working in London as a senior business analyst , have over 8 years experience and also have a Msc degree. My current package in london is 68000 gbp.
I have received a job offer from Riyadh for the post of senior business analyst and currently I am reviewing it.

Here is my offer details

-23000 SAR salary
- one off salary as a moving allowance.
-annual flights for family
-full medical insurance
-annual bonus
-no accommodation and other allowances

I have following questions in mind and I would appreciate if you guys can answer.

--Is this a good offer? considering my uk experience, education etc?
--Can I live comfortably(not looking for luxury lifestyle) in this money?
- What's the cost for a british/american school?
-- Is it easy to find a good apartment/villa and what it normally cost?
-- If you guys think this is not enough , what I should be demanding from them ? any other negotiating tips?

I haven't got much idea about this region and would appreciate if you can help me out with above questions please.

Regards,
Dave

--Can I live comfortably(not looking for luxury lifestyle) in this money?Yes, but i don't think it would be enough for me to consider leaving the UK getting paid £68k pa and moving to Saudi
- What's the cost for a british/american school? In Dubai approx gbp 6 - 8 k per child per year (primary) add up to maybe 50% for Secondary school kids
-- Is it easy to find a good apartment/villa and what it normally cost? I believe accommodation is a nightmare to find in Riyadh - search this forum and you'll find numerous threads on Saudi Accommodation
-- If you guys think this is not enough , what I should be demanding from them ?At least SAR 30k per month basic, plus accommodation, plus schooling plus the rest of the benefits already offered any other negotiating tips?

If you are currently earning 68,000 GBP per annum, you need to be paid at least SAR 45,000 per month including accommodation plus school fees to make it worthwhile in my view. Saudi Arabia is not categorised as a a hardship posting without reason. It's a shit hole and definitely worth avoiding unless you are a Muslim and/or Arab speaker.

there offering you less money than you're on in the UK which is a strange reason to move somewhere .

However , if you had a better deal who knows . I don't mind it here . Plenty of worse places in the world to live than here . It's what you make of it . If you tell yourself before coming that it will be shit , then it probably will be.

"no accommodation and other allowances"

They expect you to pay for accommodation ? Tell them where to stick it.

Hi Dave

I wouldn't accept it. Personally I would push for at least your UK salary tax free approx SAR 34,000 per month.
For flights if your family are staying in the UK then at least 2 free return flights for you and 1 for your family to visit you.
Accomodation, i would ask that this is included and not part of your salary within a western compound for security and things to do over the weekend etc.
Schools, depending on your childs age range fees are approx SAR 10,000 to 15,000 / year / child.
Hope this helps and good luck

SR10,000 a year is NOT enough for a reasonable school. Have a look at this link

Most decent schools in KSA are going to set you back at least 40K per child per school year - and that's primary - more for secondary.
