Re: Ramadan greetings
Is there anything more pointless than a discussion over whose sky-fairy is best?
Might as well go and watch unicorn racing and dragon wrestling.

How much Hebrew do you know then?
One can always get an English translation from Hebrew by Jews rather than Christians.
Of course you claim as a Muslim that Jews and Christians changed the bible because once Muslims finally got to study the bible it was rather different to Islam...since your faith dictates it cannot be wrong logic suggests the bible has been changed!
Not that it matters really. A bunch of misogynist nomad Semites disagree on their one book and have killed each other in droves for centuries because of those disagreements.
If there is a god I think atheism is less insulting than the Abrahamic monotheism.

Again you dodge a straight forward question. A Muslim thinker once described the nature of debates between Muslim devouts and atheists as being akin to the confrontation between a shark and a squid. A squids technique for getting out of trouble is confusion by blowing a black ink to prepare for the great escape. Solom songs were written thousands of years ago, and yes indeed it was somewhat distorted but the astonishing part in the song is still there and it does need contemplation: that part is the Hebrew word shown in the image. Just put that word in any Hebrew translator and you will see the meaning
When the song was translated to other languages this word was eliminated!! Just another example of the kind of distortion of the messages from the creator that I was on about

Bollocks. The oldest copy of Gilamesh comes from 18th century BC. The oldest Hebrew scriptures appear some 1700 years later. Israel's history can only be attested from around 1100BC (via Egyptian sources) and nothing in the bible becomes reasonably provable until around 800BC.
There is a clear link between Gilgamesh and the first books of the bible though just as the Koran is clearly a mix of Arabian mythology and Gnostic Christianity. They all borrow from each other.
As for the first man on earth - if you believe in Mesopotamian creation myths that's your business...just don't start saying you know history when you are actually talking about faith.

How is Ramadan with you so far Asian Brit? I trust it has been pretty hard and stressful for you. Not the fasting off course ( I doubt if it within your capacity) but the restriction on your beer consumption that is!

Re: Ramadan greetings
And your accusation that someone else is incapable of fasting is both an insult and vain (since it implies that you can do it but he can't), which is also something you should avoid during Ramadan.
Not a good start for you, is it.

Doesn't seem that your fasting is working (if you're bothering to do it--I imagine not) since one of its purposes is to stop you being distracted by social intercourse. You've been very active on here in the last week.
