Can anyone advise on public/private parking availability around Central Business Towers (Media City, Dubai)? What is an estimated monthly cost?

How about public transportation from Tecom area? Is it a better alternative to driving?

You can park in the RTA-run parking zones opposite the sand pit, which costs Dhs2 per hour.

There is parking available in Shatha Tower at a price of Dhs5 per hour.

In Media One Hotel, if you spend more than Dhs60 inside the café you will be able to validate your parking for free.

So, it’s up to you. If you like the convenience of being able to park inside your office block or on the sand lot and don’t mind forking out the extra, go for it.

If not, make sure you’ve got a parking spot lined up for next Sunday. There are going to be a fair few people looking around for a new one. Or just catch the Metro or Tram…

Depending on where you live in the Tecom area, you can walk there by using the Metro pedestrian bridge, although that may only be advisable 8 months of the year.

There's public parking but the spaces fill up very quickly.

Taxi would probably be 10-15 Dhs each way, but may be difficult to find a taxi after work.

Thanks. So what is the best area I should choose to minimize the time and distance between home and work if I want to take public transportation? I do not want spend 30 DH five days a week on taxis.

Anywhere on the Metro line is fine really. JLT, Marina, Al Barsha, TECOM (or Barsha Heights as it's now known) depending on your budget, just find a building a few minutes walk from a Metro station.
