Anyone any recommendation and experience with off shore savings for these hard earned Qatari Riyals so I can get them out of the bank and avoid tax?

Until you become Non-Resident for UK tax purposes, you are obliged to pay full UK income tax and NI contributions on your worldwide income, wherever you choose to salt it away. See HMRC6 Section 8.5 on one way to becoming UK Non-Resident or search for 'UK Statutory Residence Test Flowchart' and take your pick.

That said, UK banks have some degree of regulation and for that reason I send my QR to my UK current account where it lasts about two seconds paying for 3x teenage kids.
