I imagine that most of us out here were hired for our brains and skills, not for physical labour. But there are professions which are all physical, apart from the obvious there are all sorts of sports people whose work is purely down to how they use their body.
Society in general treats sex and the sexual act as 'special' (OK not one night stands) but what is the real difference between using your body for paid sexual purposes and using your body for any other paid physical activity, like boxing? How a person chooses to use their body is surely a matter of individual choice? I choose not to do manual physical stuff because I'm puny and have the hand to eye coordination of a 3 month old baby. But if I were a gorgeous (female) chickie babe who could make lets say £200 for an hour with a guy, 3 times a day, 5 days a week = £3000 30 weeks a year = £90000 pa. Ka ching!

I guess you would have to find the humour in these things and accept that every one has some history and most people at some point have either taken saucy pictures in some form. depending on the relationship I may be able to put up with it staying online but would prefer it not to be- I would get upset if he still watched it - fine with him watching porn just not with him in it, as I type this I'm realising i don't think any man knowing it was online would be able to resist watching it every now and agian and as id have an issue with him watching it, I guess id have to say no it would have to come offline.

I think the point was that it is down to the individual to use their body as they wish.

Since my post I have had many people...guys and girls saying ignore the neg comments, to be fair not many negs and the few posted are more about ignorance and personal opinion.

There are certain things I am ignorant about which is why I would not reply as I like to know what I am talking about.

But you're a woman and I've not seen many threads debating the qualities of which is the best iron to use, what the latest pattern curtains are etc. so when would there be an opportunity for women to contribute to a thread where they had some expert knowledge??? <dons tin hat and scurries into cover quickly>

Nat, I did understand what he meant. whilst I agree with mikewot that its your body you can do what you wish with it, he also says that society treats sex as 'special', which is true, and I think as a whole society will never compare the two and it is naive to think so. I think as long as we have a society that evolves around getting married and the 2.4 chldren ideal sex as a profession will always be frowned upon.

and I hope I haven't come across as ignorant in any of my posts, I've given my opinion from how I see it- apologies if I have offended..

Going back quite a few posts to guys' acceptance (or otherwise) of their girfriends'/wives' previous careers, I know several educated, sound, well-paid and generally "ok" western guys here who are in long-term / married relationships with gals who were previously hookers.

I think, perhaps, there is a division between people of their acceptance or not in this respect, and such division is more polarised than any other (with the possible exception of religion).

Bahtatboy- I wonder if men accept it more than women as women tend to have more hang ups than men. Women are the ones who overthink things.

I would be quite willing to accept its my own insecurities that would stop me from having that relationship- whereas men are such simple things they don't get bothered by it.

I have no moral objections to prostitution, its ok in my book. The difference between it and the rest of the work you describe I guess is simply that its tied up with human emotions.
I don't tend to get emotionally involved with digging trenches but I would expect to have a bigger emotional connection to a woman I just slept with.
