It's horrible in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Hi,
I just want to know how can I move around in Jeddah with my girlfriend without getting into trouble. Last Friday, we went to a private beach in Obhur called dream beach, the guy at the reception asked for our ID, he asked me is the girl your wife or related to you, I replied "no!", then he said I can't allow you in because it's not allowed... We turned away after a 1:30 hour trip from Jeddah, had launch at Fudruckers close to american embassy, then I dropped her at compound...
My girlfriend told me it's so risky to drive around the city, because police might stop us and ask for IDs and we would into trouble!!!
How can I avoid that? any social private places, as I'm not allowed to go into her compound!

I have read somewhere, though not an expert in any form, he should convert to Muslim, have a marriage on convenience, sort things out good and proper and then divorce her 3 times by shouting something like I have had enough. she doesn't even need to change her name as I understand.

What is the OP thinking? Hopefully he is not an educated Brit newly arrived in Jeddah because surely he would have done sufficient research to realise that you cannot move around the city with a girlfriend. I guess that he is just another Arab trying to find illegal ways and means to misbehave.
