Incorrect Job Title on Visa

Hi all,

If there has been a mistake on your visa regarding a job title, does this pose any issues? e.g. when applying for a car loan

I've been working in my job now for a few months in a sales capacity however my visa (and labor card) both state that I'm a software engineer...

I'm awaiting approval for a loan so I'm not sure whether this would affect the approval process?

Cheers,
Al

Job description on visa and on igama often differs from what you are actually doing. saudi-isation policies of KSA mean that there are restrictions on employing some categories. So for example a taxi driver may have an igama that says "Goldsmith" !

I have been a filing clerk, accounts clerk and a few others, does not mean a thing, what gets paid into your bank account at the end of the month does!!!

I'm a Follow-Up Clerk I think.
In process of approval with a bank as well.

I'll let you know if it's brought up, doubt it though.

Just take care to be consistent when you need to make any further applications for anything which asks for your job title and which will require them to see your residency visa (and it is an Arabic speaking body). For example, when applying for a visit visa for another Arab country, particularly Saudi, ensure your details submitted on that application correspond with what it says in your UAE residence visa.

Because I'm on my husband's visa mine says 'Housewife', how glamorous.
If I was part of the mani-pedi, ladies that lunch, yummy mummy set it should say 'Jebel Ali Janice'.

My last five years my job title on the visa was not correct or even close. It was easier to just leave it be.
