Re: 'Good Conduct Certificate' requirement for UAE work visas from 4th February '18
A wee update: gave the embassy in London a call yesterday to gauge how much they knew about the new requirement. I wanted to find out more about getting the ARCO certificate 'signed' (did that mean attested by a consulate here? Notarised by a lawyer?) and if they provided such a service in person (I'll be in London next week). Needless to say, the person I spoke to had the standard patter, just confirming that I will need this ARCO Good Conduct certificate but don't need to do anything else to it and certainly there's no need for it to be signed by them or anyone else.
The official, if not definitely reliable, answer: just get yourself the police certificate from ARCO (do it online/post).
(I might find a lawyer/notary down the pub to sign and approve a photocopy, though, just to have something like that handy).
On a related note, has anyone been able to access a UAE Embassy website lately? The UK and Irish mission sites don't load for me.

Any update on this?
Does the ACRO need to be attested? Have read conflicting things. Does it need to be attested by anyone in particular if so? Has anyone any experience of the process recently?
Also, is this whole procedure just for people who have never had a UAE visa before (I left two years ago) or for anybody incoming first time or not?

So... I've read through the tread and still unsure.
Am I able to use a disclosure Scotland as a good conduct certificate (I am from Scotland) or do I have to get a police certificate from ACRO?
Regards
