Hi, I'm a school teacher and I've only been here for just over a month. I don't have my residency yet because I'm waiting for some papers at home..

Am I allowed to leave to go to Bahrain for a few days during the Eid holidays or will I not be allowed?

where is your passport? has the file been submitted? how did you arrive into the country? (i.e. did you enter on a temp. work visa)

My passport is from the UK. No the files haven't been submitted because I don't have all the paperwork for it to be.
On a visit visa, but I've just renewed from the month.

I think you must request your sponsor to allow you first before you can go....I wanted to do that too but they refused and said if I left it would be entirely on my risk...
