I just hate paying for shit like that. It's 2015 for crying out loud. Emirates - on the A380 500mb of internet is $1. That's great, it's not free but it's a cost that's irrelevant. SOmetimes it's quick, sometimes it's average. But I know that 60 or 100 dizzers for their internet will just be annoying - you'll constantly be asked to log in to the thing and it will be slow and shit.

We went out for dinner on Friday. 4 couples. Us: been here for 7 years. Couple 1, been here for 2 years and half his expat workforce have lost their jobs in the last 12 months. Couple 3&4 arrived 6 months ago in finance and property.

Don't bother getting too friendly with couple 4 - they won't see the year out.

I'd say keep in with them , when they get the gooner they should have some decent kit they need to sell for nowt to cover the credit card bill , you could end up doing alright out of those two .
