Default Drive a car without recidency

Evening all

I am currently trying to sort my residency as I could take some time I'm wandering if I can drive a friends car he owns, as I can't buy one till I get my residency

Ill take my own insurance out on the car

Is this possible to do?

Thanks

If you can take your own insurance out on the car, why not?

Just ensure you can....

You would need to REALLY read the detail of your insurance cover.

How important is it for you to get Residency to make your life/future
in AD?

Take the safe option and hire a car as Millhouse suggests
(do you hold a Uk licence?)

Always found AXA fairly reliable for cover

What he says. You can't drive a friends car without a visa. If it is under processing, however, you should have a bit of paper saying as much. You may be able to with that - ask your mates insurance company.

If not you can hire a car on a UK licence.
