Hi all

I am from the UK and recently have been looking into buying a 1 bed in Dubai initially to rent out but with the aim of living there long term. I don't really mind too much about short term fluctuations and have been looking on property finder and speaking to many estate agents (one who is a good friend). Prices seem to be around 120-150k for a 1 bed in the below areas.

Is the process of buying a renting from here easy? I would get a 50% mortgage HSBC UK have indicated they can arrange this, but my friend recently used a local specialist bank and got a 5% rate, and bought in sports city, it rented in 1 week and he makes a 25% profit on monthly rent.

I went to the Dubai property show in London and like the look of business bay, living legends, marina and Arabian ranches. Bearing in mind I would likely be working near DIFC and given my small budget are these good choices?
