Default Beach Resorts in Jeddah/ Obhur?

Hi all.

I have my parents coming over on a short visit from UK and want to take them to a nice hotel/ resort with a swimmable beach in Jeddah.

Have been searching for good, high standard beach resorts in Jeddah on the Obhur creek. Most of them are mediocre and the one I found (Nakheel) seems good but the beach is not good for swimming.

I have heard of and seen pictures of some very good ones like Indigo, however they are not available on booking sites and neither are there phone numbers for them so I can book directly.

Would be grateful if anyone can help.

Thanks.

La Plage & Silver Sands are fabulous. Well kept, clear water, western etc. Try one of those.

La Plage is cheaper than Silver Sands and definitely worth a visit. Although to be honest Silver Sands is good too, I just find their somewhat random pricing structure annoying.

Yeah, silver sands have been buggers with their pricing recently. I know they put it up from 100 to 150 sar which took this piss. It's now back down to 100 sar during the week and 150 at weekends. I prefer the layout of silver sands, the water and swimming imo is better. But La Plage do have nice facilities.

In balance I would agree and if I had visitors I reckon Silver Sands is a better beach experience.

Thanks.

I have heard of both places but they don't seem to have rooms where guests can stay overnight like a hotel. Also there is no where I can get numbers to call them.

Also I think they only allow white skinned expats, so that would be a problem for me as I am of a darker complexion and my wife is a Saudi.

I have heard of a place called Indigo, but again don't have numbers of ways to book there.

Just a thought. As your wife is a Saudi, may I suggest that she telephones the Saudi Embassy in London and they will giver her all the details that you want. She will speak to them in there own language.

I've seen plenty of Arab looking people at Silver Sands..... The only other ones I've been to that have overnight accomodation are Reem and Hilton - both absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't let my cats stay there.
