No, I didn't wear anything walking out of DC after 9/11, you all seem to speak of it as if it didn't really happen, and 3500 people minding their own business didn't die of smoke inhalation, burns, or jumping from the top of the WTC because they had no hope of living.

Mostly A - You are in no way American. You probably still spell 'color' with a 'u' and 'alumininium' with all the syllables.
Mostly B - A bit American, but could do better. Try putting a 6-inch high withe fence around your lawn, and insisting your postman deposit your letters in a breadbin on a stick.

the problem as i see it, is that whilst your arguments may have merit we require a degree of proof in order to accept them. I know that proof may not be a republican requirment but for the rest of us it helps somewhat in persuading us as to the validity of an argument

Just for the record, the Germans (even their post office) were working on rockets and nuclear fission long before the US entered WW2 (rather late). As a result of Britains pre 1941 bombing of German industrial targets, the Nazi's nuclear and rocket developments was constantly thwarted and delayed by BRITISH bombing. Unfortunately not enough to stop the V1 and V2 rockets but thankfully enough to stop more devastating weapons being produced, such as the ICBM's with nuclear warheads.

As WW2 came to a conclusion in Europe a vast amount of German rocket and nuclear scientists including Werner Von Braun, were taken to the US and were "persuaded" to help them with their rocket and nuclear programmes. It is these men that are largely responsible for the technology for the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs.

Now consider the outcome if the BRITISH had not managed to delay the Nazi rocket and nuclear weaponry. Do you think that a man such as Adolf Hitler wouldn't have sent as many nuclear tipped rockets into mainland USA as he could muster. Of course he would, and considering that the allies would have no access to ANYTHING even near equal to the Nazi WMD who do you assume would have sought terms to surrender? The Allies would have, just as Japan did when faced with the very same devestation.

So therefore my American friend, it is infact YOU that would be speaking German now if it wasn't for Britain defending the free world in 1939 instead of waiting for the Japs to give you a black eye at pearl Harbour.

Just out of curiousity, how many conflicts/battles/wars have the USA actually won without Britain by their side? A lot more with, than without I think you'll find.
