I have been offered a job in Baku, Azerbaidjan.

I should move there with my wife and our 3-yrs child.... Any idea/suggestions about how living there is? environmental issues and alike?

Just read your email, perhaps you could ask your future employer if you and the family could go there on a reccie first, we were offered the same and went over for a week in April, kept an open mind on it all at the time, met some lovely people and many ex pats truly love it there, but I do not think that it is for everyone, depends on yourselves and what you are looking for. We decided against it for our own reasons, mainly to do with the children. But good luck with your decision, I also think it depends on length of contract as it could be a great experience short term.

to the OP,

my Uncle in law and his wife and 2 teenage kids live in Baku. They have a great time and are all very happy.

If you wish, i can email them and get some information regrding areas to live costs pro's con's etc

I wouldnt class it as the middle east either TBH
