I used to visit a place called Silkstone Common in my youth. I was courting a young man who lived there at the time. Isn't that near Barnsley?

Not born there, but have lived 20 years in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire and will be returning there, God`s own country!

I was born in Leeds, but grew up in a small village between Leeds and York. Lived for a few years in Ilkley. Spent almost all our holidays in the Yorkshire Dales and if I had my way, I'd retire to a small cottage in the middle of Swaledale and live out the rest of my days there.
