We will be leaving for our annual trip to Sheffield very soon. Sheffield has changed so much over the years I don't think I could go and live there now. It's such a shame.

We moved here from Huby, very near Almscliffe Crag. I miss our weekly shopping in Otley.

Heck No... just dont tell them where you live, I suppose some threads may be worse than others, I took a look but didnt post, it wouldn't bother me anyway, I might agree with some of their observations, it all depends what is being said.

I know the area well. I lived in Parsons Cross until I was 11...then moved to Shiregreen. Used to spend the hot summer days at the open air baths in Longley Park. My BIL lived just off Herries Road...he went to Firth Pk Grammar. My aunt lived in Southey Green...in fact I was born at her house.

Red Caps...I remember that name well. My sister went to Hatfield House Lane Secondary School...I think that may have been renamed Firth Park Comp...not sure???

We live in Chester county PA, would love to hear from ex pats, especially if you live anywhere near, need a bit of Yorkshire humor now and again.
Love my neighbors but sometimes they just don't get me lol

My grandfather had a cutlery business in Sheffield many moons ago. I still have some of his cutlery with Made In Sheffield on it.
