I know the area well. I lived in Parsons Cross until I was 11...then moved to Shiregreen. Used to spend the hot summer days at the open air baths in Longley Park. My BIL lived just off Herries Road...he went to Firth Pk Grammar. My aunt lived in Southey Green...in fact I was born at her house.

I had the pleasure of living in Ecclesfield for a few years after we got married. Before then as a student I lived just off Bramhall Lane and off Ecclesall Road, then moved up to Woodseats! I'd never been to the North end of town until I met my hubby

When my parents first got married they lived in Bramall Lane. They lived next to my uncle...his wife still lives in the same house.

BTW it's Bramall...Bramhall is near Stockport. I've also lived in Bramhall.

I lived in a flat in Woodseats for a couple of years when I was a teenager...Bromwich Road...just off Chesterfield Road.

Know Bromwich Road, I lived in a flat on Abbey Lane and then in a shared house on Woodseats House Road. Many happy memories of Woodseats. I didn't take to life in Ecclesfield which is one of the reasons we are here

i know Jersey girl ,i feel the same have done for a while now...lost my mum with cancer over christmas that has unsettled me even more.I can,t see myself looking back at my time in NJ with that many happy memories.....going back for two weeks in august can,t wait .......

As a teenager I took Sheffield and all it offered very much for granted, its only when you leave a place do you truly get to appreciate it, of course it was never my choice to leave, I loved the place...

I'm an Owls fan too...so Bumhole Lane it is.

I went to school nearby the Owls ground...Marlcliffe. I also dated a lad whose parents owned the newsagents/sweet shop on Leppings Lane.
