Are there any Brits local to the Milwaukee area. Just moved here mid-December 2010. Living about 10 miles north of downtown. Would be great to make some friends from 'home'

Hello,
The wife and I live in Cedarburg (about 20-30 miles North of Milwaukee), we've been here 4 years this June, there are a few of us up here, but not so many as to be the norm.
There are a couple of Brit bars in Milwaukee that you might be closer to.
The Dog Bollocks (I kid you not) on North and Murry, they have a web site, you can get a full English brekkie there.
The Three lions has just opened on N Oakland in Shorewood, no food yet but there is talk of it, you might find some more Brits in there and be a bit closer to home.
If you are in need of some good old biscuits etc, Woodmans (there are a few of them around now) have a section of anglo/irish foods.
hope that helps, keep in contact and i'll try to answer/help you if i can
Oh before i forget, Bernies meat market in Port Washington (little bit further North again sells back bacon, and the nearest to a banger i have found so far.

Hey, I'm not far from West Bend. Been living here for 1 1/2 years and have only met a couple of Brits in Milwaukee, and that was at the Irish pub when the world cup was on. There must be more expats lurking about in WI somewhere...maybe they're just hibernating till the snow finally stays away!

My Wife and I are from Manchester, we moved here in 2001, went back in 2005 and then back here again in 2008. We now live in Brookfield.

We know a few other Brits and work with a few. We regularly go in The Three Lions (where the owners and most staff are Brits) and The House of Guiness (where some staff and customers are Brits/European) in Waukesha.

We would be interested in a meet up

Jason
