Any Brits in Macon / middle Georgia
Hi there, I am moving back to Macon with family after a stint in MidEast. Wife is American and I am a Brit.
Looking for fellow Brits to talk nonsense too!

Sorry, not in Middle GA, but I AM in NE GA, so not a million miles away. If you're desperate for Brit company, then somewhere like Athens would only be an hour or so's drive for each of us.
Grew up on the London/Essex border (Woodford) and lived near Clacton, Macclesfield and Bournemouth before moving here about 14 years ago. In fact, Sunday is the 14th anniversary of my arrival!
We could at least trade emails!
BTW. Check out Cheddars in Macon for good American food. It's been a while, but I used to love their chicken tenders.

Re: Any Brits in Macon / middle Georgia
Bloody hell, we might know each other. I grew up and lived all my pre-university days in Chingford, and that is where all my family still live. I went to school in Woodford (Bancroft's) from age 11-18, before heading north for college.
I know Athens very well. It is my wife's hometown, and we are regular visitors ( in fact we will be there the weekend of the 3-5 Feb). We have lived in Macon a while and are returning after a brief stint back in MidEast due to my work. I like Athens ( we lived there for a number of years as I did my PHD at Univ of GA), so could be a nice place to meet up for a beer.
Thanks for the reply - look forward to. Hearing from you

I doubt we know each other, you're too much of a swat for me , but we couldn't have been closer if we tried! I lived in Knighton Drive, almost directly opposite Bancroft's, and went to Buckhurst Hill County High! Small world!
If you'd like to email me at [email protected], we might be able to meet for lunch next week or something. I'd have to run it by she who must be obeyed, though.
(Name's Tony, BTW).
