Hey, folks, my husband will be in the US by July 4, assuming all goes well. We won't be able to go too far afield, what with me working, but I will be able to take the week off after the 4th. Do you want to get together not too far from the city for a dinner or something?

You guys in Houston have been fiddle ****ing around with this since March now.

Rules/guidelines for arranging meets/get togethers.

1) DON'T ask everyone which is the best time from them - you will get 100 different answers. You will never please everyone.

2) DO find a venue, pick a date and time and post it in this forum.

3) See who comes. If its anything like Austin it could vary from 2 to 30. So, pick a place YOU like and if nobody else shows then you haven't wasted a whole evening.

4) Chill and have a few cold ones.

I agree with G1ant. Just a random perhaps is tough to get people involved.

I am suggesting Tuesday July 9 at 7 PM at Watson's Ale House in Memorial, near BP.

Folks can go earlier but we cannot arrive until 7 ish as we need a sitter for our twins.

I've never been there, but I read up on it and it sounds cool. Energy Corridor, that's doable. I have the day off, maybe I'll get there early and put a British flag on the table so we all know who we are.

I'm in - it's a doable location for me too. I'll probably turn up on my own on my way home for a bit so I'll probably be there pre-7 too.
