My father was based at Bentwaters, Woodbridge USAF in the 50s. I grew up in Ipswich before moving over to Florida. His home is close to the Snake River Canyon where the 'famous' jump happened in the 70s. I just don't think i could live there year round.

Yep I know the area well and the twin bases, I grew up in Woodbridge and then went to RAF after high school and eventually moved out to Boise 12 years ago with the family. The cold here is not as bitter or damp as the east coast of England.

probably after 15 years in Florida i'm not suited to the cold anymore! I really have lived my time here in shorts, t shirts and flip flops almost year round. My father has said the coldest and chilled he has ever felt was over in Suffolk in the winter months and when i spent one xmas in Idaho and after deep snow it could be swept away and the path would be clear and dry!

I know this is an old post but I’m a Bradford lad just moved to a Biose hoping to to find some England fans to have a beer with.
I moved from Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom and would be interested in meeting up with any Brit (or American) in the Idaho area.
I don't drive or work yet (currently adjusting status), so we could meet up for a couple of drinks if you know a decent bar. Or something else, I'm easy going!
