Re: When is the best time of your life to work in the GCC?
Retiring to Scotland I found the "TV-culture" rather strange. Everything revolves around television ! I do not think I am bitter, but I do not see the world with rose-tinted spectacles which seem mandatory in many circles ! Of course I am an outsider ! It does not bother me. Why does it bother those who read my posts ?
Maybe I should reflect on Socrates and remember his fate !

I am totally loving this British Expat forum/forums. And this thread. Well I'm 58 and will be happy to tell you why I'm considering a job at Sidra hospital.
1. Adventure
2. "Ground Floor" opportunity to open something exciting
3. Pay off my debts so I CAN RETIRE
Contrary to some erroneous beliefs us oldtimers can still work and even(oh the horror) out work the young whippersnappers. And of course I have 26 years experience in my field.
So I'm waiting for the salary offer from Sidra. Don't know if they can match my pre tax gross or not. What I have learned in life is you should never take a job just for the money. Ergo my number one is adventure with a totally open mind.

Wink wink. Nudge nudge.
