What does a realistic package look like these day
So have read through numerous forums it seems that packages in Abu Dhabi are not what they used to be. So in general in the finance industry for someone with 15+yrs experience in asset management should I expect the following or am I deluded?
- Base: same as my current gross salary
- Housing: 250-300K
- School fees: fees covered for all 3 kids
- Bonus: based on performance
Any recent feedback on package would be good

I think those are high. I'd expect your base + bonus to be similar to your current after-tax salary. Perhaps a little more, but not equivalent to current gross.
Housing seems high. Around 200k would be more the norm.
That's my experience, but others can give theirs. People who started in the region a few years ago are on more generous packages, often including flybacks too.

In my opinion :
- Base: same as my current gross salary YES
- Housing: 250-300K NO, 150-180k
- School fees: fees covered for all 3 kids Ideally yes, but more likely +-50k per child
- Bonus: based on performance YES
