have found some really useful info on this forum.

wanted to check if there are any recommendations for agencies within UK who help secure IT positions (contract) in the MEd (dubai or saudi)

Lots of firms recruit from Asia because they can pay less. In KSA there were very few non-Asian workers in IT. Would you work for the salary that someone from Lahore or Mumbai would accept? Not fair ? what can you do about it ?

From my observations, the mainstream IT jobs are not very well paid and there is a huge talent pool to choose from - mainly from the East, and local Arabs, all of whom will be paid far less than a Western Expat would accept.

You'd have to be seriously high end or seriously specialised in your line of work.

I know it is challenging - I have always wondered why a firm would choose a western expat when it could get one from the east - perhaps it is to do with IT roles which are more strategic in nature? not sure - or management / architect roles - but again east would have that!

so yes I know it is a challenge but I was keen to move mainly due to family reasons...
