"Is this a good offer" threads
I really don't understand these "is this a good offer" topics, surely you know the market rate for your profession... so if you are offered X amount convert it to what your getting at home and work it our accordingly.
For example if I'm on £4000 a month in the UK and Im offered £6000 a month to come to Middle East plus usual company benefits to do the same job then its a good offer, really not difficult to understand.
Feels like people are just on here to brag about there salary, personally I find it embarrassing.

The market rate is different in different locations, just as outgoings are different.
If you don't know the norm for the location, I think it's fair to ask. No-one wants to under sell themselves in the job market, and asking too much may scare off prospective employers.
You do however have to be fairly open with your details to get accurate responses, which will put some people off.
