Hello Everyone,

I have lived here for 2 years now and I still haven't been able to find a permanent job here.

I'm a qualified IT technician and I'm currently teaching myself how to use servers and maintain them in my spare time. My main problem is that I don't have much work experience ( I'm only 20) so often I just get ignored when I'm applying for jobs. You've got to start somewhere though right?

As a female trying to enter the IT industry things are quite challenging, especially starting out in the Middle East. I really need experience (even if its just for a little while) but I just need to find a place that will give me a chance.

Can anybody could advise me?

The oft repeated advice on this bored is:
Network - find people out here who know you and who might help.
Network for fresh people on Linkedin.
Spam your CV on all the job boards (gulftalent, naukri, monstergulf etc)
Network some more
Apply for some roles online
Network some more
