Big 4 Consulting Accommodation Allowances & Perks
Hello all
In the hope that there are some big 4 (EY, PwC etc) expats on the forum, I wanted to know whether the packages on Manager grade in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar come with accommodation allowances and what other perks may there be?
Reading on Glassdoor, all I can tell is that the average monthly base salary for a Manager is in the range of 27-32k AED/QAR per month.
Without accommodation allowances this doesn't look very attractive... thoughts anyone?
Thank you

big 4 corporate finance salary and reputation
Hi there,
I just wanted to know what the reputation and salary of big 4 corporate finance is like in the UAE. I am considering a move there in 12 months (I know its a while away) but just wanted to get a feel for people's thoughts. I am currently a Manager in the Big 4 in Valuations (Corporate Finance) in Australia. I am married with a child on the way. Would you suggest that it is a good move from a career/finanial perspective? Are the corporate finance arms of the Big 4 reputed over in the UAE? Are the exit opportunities if it doesn't work out decent?
Would love some thoughts.

I had a similar question. Proved you want to lead a decent life without being lavish, is that enough for you to sve approximately 3/4k AED a month?

Define "decent"... By my definition, even with car, housing and utilities allowances/fully paid..... No.

Saving £500 a month ? Is that your goal ? That seems a bit modest.

True it is....would you suggest that anything less than 35k AED/month would be not worth it given rent and other expenses there. As I mentioned, I am married with our first baby on the way. It appears that rent is about 10k a month for a decent 2 bedroom in a relatively nice area like JLT, and everything else would add up to about 17/18k (bills paid for, entertainment, once a year travel overseas, eating out twice/thrice a week in an ok restaurant)- so by my calcs an average couple would need about 27/28k a month to live on without any savings. Any surplus above that would be savings - would that be a fair assumption?
I know these are relatively general assumptions - but I am trying to benchmark what I should negotiate without being unrealistic in my discussions with my prospective employer.
