Default What does co-sponsor require?

Hello,

For DCF in London and our I-864 affidavit of support, we are getting a
co-sponsor just in case its required.

What do we need from the co-sponsor?

Please elaborate in necessary.....

Affidavit of support
Birth cert/passport - will a photocopy be ok?
Last 3 years tax returns - again, will copies be ok?
Copies of wage slips

Is this enough?

The sponsor is going to be my wifes father, and we will go by his
earnings which are some $50,000. Now do we have to have birth certs,
an additional affidavit etc etc for his wife (my wifes mom), or is she
irrelevant even though they are married?

Many thanks for your help

I think it is the same requirement. If the sponser does not meet the requirement then the co-sponser must meet it. You cannot combine incomes etc. As far as the sponser being married, it should not matter unless she is listed as a dependant and this would increase the household size.

A co sponsor requires the same info as the sponser.
If joint return was filed, then W-2's are needed to prove which income
is your father's.

copies of docs are OK (and transcripts are also ok for tax returns)

Copies are fine. If your father in law filed a joint return but is only using his own income as proof or your mother in law did not earn any income and it is only a joint return because he claimed her as a dependent, then she does not have to sign anything at all and he only needs to provide his own w2's and the returns as proof.
She only needs to fill out I864A, contract with household member if she earned income and you wanted to use that to meet the 125% requirement.
