Visiting USA without activating IR1 visa
Hello,
I understand from Stevie P's recent post that the IR1 sponsor must already be in the USA (or travelling with the holder) to activate the visa.
Would it be possible for the visa holder (applicant) to enter the US for a short visit without activating the IR1 visa?
The purpose of the 2-3 day visit would be for a job interview, not to establish residence.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
I posted about this exact scenario just last week: Travelling on VWP whilst having an unused IR-1
In short, yes, it looks like you can, by traveling on the VWP.
