No, thats what this thread is for - resurrect away! Following your case with interest - you are very close to me timelinewise, and like you were, I am hanging on the finger print notice at the mo - I'm hoping for one soon!

Sounds like a similar setup to what they have here in Tampa. I wonder if its the big busy places in fairly popular states that are suffering an enhanced slowdown? Seems to be the case borne out on this board - some folks got their fingerprinting notice straight away after the cashing of the check, you and myself did not.

Hi Dan,
Your assumption is logical and correct from my observation in past years . . . not just on N-400, but on I-129F after new changes went into effect after 9/11.
Atlanta and Orlando and other Florida service centers were inundated and backlogged.

How's that? The Service Center holds the application until the Local Office is ready for it.

It's nice to see good news more often these days!
So much for their 16-18 months' processing estimate!

Re: TSC ROLL CALL - N-400 FILERS
Just called the USCIS misinformation line to inquire about the status of my pending I751 (one year) and N400. I can't believe the mindless discussion I had with the REP. All she could do was to read off the same screen with no extra info. My concern for I751 was that may be I have missed any letter from them, and as I never responded to that imaginary letter, they might just have thrown away my case. Of course she could not confirm any thing except the advice of sit and wait.
Is there a way to actually talk to an immigration official instead of these phone reps? I hope that actual immigration officials can give more pertinent information.

Congrats, Abir.
Really sort of nutso -- only 24 days notice. Good you got it and are ready to go. Not sure trend wise what, if anything, to make of your early interview, but glad you got it.
