Hi Folks,

I've tried doing a search for an answer to this question, but guess my searching techniques are not that good...

Once the approval has been granted on our I-130 visa application, how long do we have to make entrance into the US? We've heard two answers: 3-months and 6-months.

Can someone kindly clarify this for us?

Once your I-130 petition has been approved you'll need to apply for either a CR1 or IR1 visa. The visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of your medical, so plan accordingly.

I second this, we are going to deliberately delay my medical and ds-2001 (readiness notification) as we want to enter the US no earlier than November.
