Hello,

On the DS-260 we nominated a family friend to receive my wife’s green card once we pass through POE. On the last page of the DS-260 we selected to have a SSN and card issued but we were wondering to which address this goes to. We will not have a fixed address for a month or so hence the green card going to family friend.

Yes, if it gets processed correctly, it will go to the address you provided for the green card.

Note that the SSN request doesn't always work, so if you don't get it in the first few weeks, you'll have to go apply on person.

Thanks Rene. I had a hunch it would go to the same place as green card but your expertise is always appreciated. Good chance we may have a fun day out at SS office 2 weeks after arriving.

I still have fond memories as an 18 year old queuing for hours at the DMV in Chula Vista (San Diego) during a hot (Santa Anna effect) summer day. My test lasted 10 mins but getting my licence took 3 hours but I was one happy puppy at the end of the day

If you already have had a driver's license in the US, then you must have had a social security number. Why are you reapplying for another one?

I'm sorry but I took your 'we' to mean both of you. I made the mistake that others, like me, would not post for a spouse using the so-called royal 'we' when it only pertained to them and not me as well. Hence, my confusion.
