Default Removing Conditions while oversees

Hi all,

I'm planning far in advance, as I won't be submitting the I-751 until end of year, but wondering if anyone on this site has ever filed for removal of conditions while stationed oversees? I think I have a pretty good grip on the subtle differences in the process, but would be great to hear from anyone who has been through it.

The I-751 can be sent in from overseas, but how would you do the biometrics?

You are the foreign spouse? Are you in the US military?

Yes I'm the foreign spouse, my wife is US Military, and we're on orders oversees. The Military Police can do my biometrics and then put them in a sealed envelope for me to include in the application.

I see. I don't know anything about doing the removal completely from overseas via the military, sorry. But if that is indeed allowed, there is nothing different about the process.

As Rene notes, if it's allowed, the process will be the same - but, hoping not to throw a monkey wrench into the works, USCIS may not accept biometrics done by anyone other than USCIS. Also, I'm constrained to point out that while your wife may be on active duty - you're a civilian.

I have a good friend who is going through the ROC process in Germany. USCIS will accept the fingerprints done by the military police on an FD-258. They also have a military helpline for questions related to immigration procedures for military families.

Thanks all, they definitely accept them, and yes while I am a civilian I'm listed on her orders and USCIS recognise this. I've read their guidelines, was just interested to see if anyone had been through it.
