Oh okay.
So the files I need are (just clarifying, sorry guys!)
I-130
2 G-325a
I-485
I-131
and
I-765

Is this correct? Ballpark figure I came up with was about $1,666. Is this a correct estimate?

I-864 from sponsor and joint sponsor, plus full medical exam results.

There's the fee for the I-130. Fee for I-485 (including biometrics fee). That's it for USCIS fees. Then there's the cost of seeing the doctor, any vaccinations required, and the cost of photocopies and postage, small things like that.

Right, okay. Thanks a lot!
And you're sure the I-131 and I-765 can be filed together with the I-485 with no additional cost? I read it was only if you already had a case pending with the I-485 for the I-131 to be no extra cost.

Yes, I'm sure. Read the instructions.

You will have an I-485 pending... I thought you already understood that.

Yeah sorry, had a slow moment.
Two last questions. If the I-485 is denied, and by then I would have overstayed obviously, would that count against me, what would potentially happen?
And finally:
If it is denied, can my I-130 still be approved and I just return to the UK for consular processing as originally planned?

Answered in Post 2 of this thread, but just to reiterate: If your AOS gets denied, you will be removed from the USA with a ban from returning to the USA, possibly permanently. Since you entered using the VWP, you have no recourse to appeal USCIS' decision if they deny your AOS. At that point, you would have to return to the UK, and your USC spouse would have to immigrate there if you want to stay together.

Probably not, as you will most likely incur a ban from returning to the USA at all.

This is why going from VWP to AOS is risky. It seems that AOS cases don't get denied often, but if yours does, you have to be prepared to live with the consequences.
